“Ask Me Anything” about Agile at PMI Milwaukee’s PM in the AM on July 15, 2026 (virtual event)

Are the AI keyboard warriors right? Is Agile really dead? What about Scrum? Is it as strict as your last boss would have you believe? Do you cringe at the thought of attending yet another retrospective? Do you want to poke your eyes out with an ice pick during backlog refinement sessions (Yes, I really had a software engineer admit this to me once)?

If you’ve had any of these thoughts, or even worse, but were afraid to voice them, this is your chance to get it off your chest. Let’s talk about all of it — the good, the bad, and the ugly. I’ll give it to you straight, no beating around the bush or trying to make things look like they’re all rainbows and unicorns.

The working world we find ourselves in right now is volatile and confusing. Priorities shift in a matter of hours, and leaders spew word salad at us instead of providing real direction. It’s hard to know what to believe or how to act. I’ll share with you my experiences, both good and bad, with Agile over the last 20 years, and my thoughts on where we should go from here. Let’s toss out the bad stuff and hold onto the good stuff, because goodness knows we don’t have time for agile nonsense these days.
